Danielle R. Garcia

Biography

Danielle Garcia grew up in Mercedes, Texas, a rural community in the Rio Grande Valley. As the daughter of a Mexican American immigrant, she witnessed firsthand how immigration issues shaped the lives of family and friends along the Texas-Mexico border. From an early age she carried a desire to help people like her father realize the American dream — the dream of opportunity — and that calling led her to pursue a career in law.

Ms. Garcia graduated from St. Mary’s University in San Antonio with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and a minor in Business Administration. She then earned her Juris Doctor from Texas Southern University, Thurgood Marshall School of Law, graduating Cum Laude. At Thurgood Marshall she earned Dean’s List distinction, served as a tutor for various courses, and became Executive Editor of the Thurgood Marshall Law Review.

Prior to joining John K. Zaid & Associates, Ms. Garcia gained broad legal experience as an associate attorney at immigration, family, and personal injury law firms. She is also a member of the Houston Young Lawyers Association.

Outside the office, Danielle enjoys the gym, spending time with family and friends, and is always eager to explore new restaurants and coffee shops.
