Biography

Antonio Cabrera Jr. was born and raised in Houston, Texas, where his passion for leadership and teamwork began through athletics. During high school, Antonio earned First Team All-District honors in multiple sports, experiences that helped develop his communication skills, work ethic, and ability to lead both on and off the field.

Antonio earned an athletic scholarship to attend Centenary University, where he obtained his Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice with a minor in Business Administration in 2014. While at Centenary, he was a member of the men’s soccer team and served as the starting left back during the program’s historic season that resulted in the school’s first conference championship and an appearance in the NCAA Tournament.

In 2018, Antonio graduated from Texas Southern University Thurgood Marshall School of Law and was admitted to the State Bar of Texas. During law school, he served as Justice At-Large for the Student Bar Association, overseeing student disciplinary proceedings, and held the position of Negotiation Coordinator for the Board of Advocates, further strengthening his advocacy and negotiation skills.

Before joining John K. Zaid & Associates, Mr. Cabrera gained valuable experience working as an associate attorney at a civil litigation firm, where he handled a variety of legal matters and continued developing his litigation and client advocacy skills.

Outside of the office, Antonio enjoys spending time with his family and his two dogs, Canela and Esko. He remains active in Houston’s soccer community, enjoys golfing with friends, and is a passionate supporter of Houston sports teams, regularly attending local sporting events.
