Dane A. Dennison is an Associate at John K Zaid & Associates, a seasoned litigator whose decade of solo practice and mass tort experience against major corporations reflects his unwavering tenacity on behalf of those who need justice.

Biography

Dane A. Dennison grew up in Port Arthur, Texas, where the town’s rich diversity and its community of Vietnam War refugees exposed him to multiple cultures from an early age. In high school he developed a love of ceramics, played trombone in the marching and symphonic band, performed bass guitar in the jazz band, lettered in golf, and worked part-time in a foundry. He also spent much of his free time camping, swimming, and fishing along the Gulf Coast.

Dane attended Lamar University in Beaumont, where he was active in the Student Government Association and served as president, vice president, and secretary of the Sigma Nu fraternity. He graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science (pre-law emphasis) and a minor in ceramics, even lending his foundry expertise to the art department’s metal-pouring sculpture projects. In 2007 he began his legal education at Thurgood Marshall School of Law in Houston, focusing on immigration and international law and earning his Juris Doctor in 2010. He was licensed as a Texas attorney in March 2011.

Dane launched his legal career in 2012 at Thomas J. Henry law firm, starting in commercial litigation under partner Russell W. Endsley and building extensive experience against insurance companies. His skill and tenacity earned him a spot on the Mass Tort team, where he joined litigation against Johnson & Johnson over the misuse of Risperdal — efforts that contributed to a favorable settlement for more than one thousand clients. The experience confirmed he has no hesitation going toe-to-toe with big corporations.

Dane later returned to southeast Texas to be closer to his daughter and family, opening a solo general practice where he spent over a decade fighting for clients alongside other attorneys against corporate lawyers. His passion for the Gulf Coast eventually inspired him to pursue his captain’s license. To be closer to his family’s sailboat and the water, Dane joined John K. Zaid & Associates to continue seeking justice for those in need while working toward his captain’s license — with a long-term dream of retiring to run a fishing charter company and one day sailing into the eternal sunset.
