Girraud R. Stephens

Girraud R. Stephens was born and raised in Houston, Texas. As a first-generation graduate, he earned his B.S. in Criminal Justice at Lamar University. After graduating from Lamar, Mr. Stephens worked for the United States House of Representatives and was encouraged to attend law school.
Mr. Stephens attended Thurgood Marshall School of Law and earned his Juris Doctor in 2020. While there, he was elected as Senator for the Student Bar Association and served as a law clerk to Judge Donna Roth of the 295th Civil District Court. Mr. Stephens was also a National Governors’ Association scholar and served as the law clerk to their Office of General Counsel in Washington D.C.
Mr. Stephens is a Veteran and served 13 years in the US Army Reserves. Prior to joining John K. Zaid & Associates, Mr. Stephens served as the City Prosecutor for multiple cities in the DFW area and as a Tax Law Associate at National Tax Consulting Firm. In his free time Mr. Stephens enjoys an active lifestyle and is involved in various civic organizations.
