Michael Caruso
Senior Associate

Michael Caruso was born in Galveston, Texas, and raised in Tyler, Texas. He earned
a Bachelor of Business Administration with a double major in Accounting and
Finance from The University of Texas at Tyler, where he was a member of the
baseball team and the Financial Management Association. Following his
undergraduate studies, Mr. Caruso attended Loyola University New Orleans
College of Law, completing his first year ranked in the top 25% of his class. He
continued his legal education at the University of Houston Law Center, where he
earned his Juris Doctor degree while receiving recognition on the Dean's List. In
addition to his academic accomplishments, he served as the Executive Editor of the
Houston Law Review and held various leadership roles, including Treasurer of the
Corporate & Taxation Law Society, Student Representative on the Honor Board,
and Student Mentor on the Transfer Student Mentorship Program.
Currently, Mr. Caruso is an Associate Attorney at John K. Zaid & Associates, where
he focuses on personal injury cases, advocating for clients with dedication and
professionalism. Previously, he served as an Associate Attorney at another mid-size
law firm, where he handled litigation cases while managing a diverse docket of
personal injury matters from initial consultation to settlement. Additionally, he
interned with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of Texas, working
under the Honorable Eduardo V. Rodriguez to assess complex bankruptcy issues.
With his strong academic background and practical experience, Michael Caruso is

Outside of his professional pursuits, Michael finds joy in spending time with his
family, friends, and two German Shepherds. He also enjoys the Texas Rangers,
pickleball, and Formula 1.
