Tiecia Ayers was born and raised in South Bend, Indiana. Her father is a retired Army Chief Warrant Officer and her mother is a Hospice Caregiver. Tiecia learned very early on to fight for what is right and to show compassion while helping others.
Tiecia graduated Cum Laude from the University of Texas at Arlington with a Bachelor of Arts in Criminology and Criminal Justice. She earned her Juris Doctor degree from the University of Houston Law Center in 2017 and was admitted to the State Bar of Texas shortly thereafter. During law school, Tiecia was a member of the Moot Court Team and was named the 2016 Moot Court Intra-Team Champion. Tiecia was a recognized scholar and received the CALI Excellence award for Legal Research, Analysis, & Writing. Tiecia had the opportunity to work in the Civil Practice Clinic as a Student Attorney. Tiecia also worked at the Mediation Clinic and is a Certified Mediator.
Prior to joining John K. Zaid & Associates, Tiecia interned for the Honorable Judge R.K. Sandill in the 127thDistrict Court of Harris County. She also gained valuable legal experience working at Houston based law firms focused on personal injury, medical malpractice, labor and employment, as well as commercial litigation.
Throughout her successful career, Tiecia has been able to refine her knowledge in personal injury and has gained the practical skills necessary to effectively represent her clients. Utilizing all her prior and ever-growing experiences, Tiecia is now dedicated to advocate zealously for those clients who have been severely injured. Tiecia will patiently explain your rights, listen to your concerns, and vigorously represent you.
Tiecia is admitted to practice law in the State of Texas. She is a member of the Houston Trial Lawyers Association and the Houston Young Lawyers Association.
