Peter is close with his family. He grew up with a trial attorney Dad, a school teacher Mom, and an older sister that became a professional jazz musician.
Peter prioritized the guitar as his first discipline in his life. At ten years old, he began taking guitar lessons from professional Houston-based jazz musician Glen Ackerman. Peter takes pride in Glen considering Peter one of his top students ever.
Peter was known as one of the very best guitarists at his high school and won a battle of the bands at the late iconic Houston music venue, Fitzgeralds. Peter credits this time of his life for helping him develop attorney skills such as self-discipline and an enjoyment of public performance.
After graduating high school, Peter moved to Austin, TX and worked for insurance companies while playing music. It wasn’t long before he realized that he wanted to help people at the mercy of these companies. In 2017, Peter moved back to Houston and began pursuing higher education.
In 2020, Peter graduated with Magna Cum Laude Honors from The University of Houston with a degree in philosophy. During College, Peter worked at an independent insurance agency and The University of Houston campus gym. Peter enjoyed his philosophy classes and believes that this background helped him develop attorney skills such as logical thinking and structured argumentation.
Immediately after graduating college, Peter enrolled into the University of Houston Law Center. After Peter’s second year at UHLC, he began interning at John K. Zaid & Associates. In 2023, Peter graduated UHLC and transitioned into an attorney role at the firm.
Peter no longer plays the guitar after a history of injuries, but he believes that this has helped him connect with injured clients. Peter is willing to listen to clients and embraces the message that physical limitations don’t have to prevent people from succeeding in all areas of life.
In Peter’s free time he enjoys connecting with people over music or his favorite sports team – the Houston Rockets.
